چکیده

Peroxidases (PODs) have various physiological and biochemical roles in plant growth, development stress response. The POD genes were identified species, but passion fruit has not yet been thoroughly characterized. Here, we discovered 30 putative from the genome of Passiflora edulis Sims. For further elucidation, comprehensive bioinformatics analysis was utilized to determine physicochemical properties, gene organization, conserved motifs, duplication phylogenetic relationships PePOD genes. Most proteins predicted be located extracellular region. Gene organization motif showed that number exons motifs each ranged vividly, between 1 19, 7 respectively. Synteny segmental played a dynamic role evolution fruit. Likewise, analysed expression patterns seedlings treated with Piriformospora indica under cold stress. relative expressions PePOD1, PePOD3, PePOD22, PePOD26 PePOD29 noticeably higher leaves P. as compared untreated ones. present study provided initial genome-wide identification characterisation Class III peroxidases laid foundation for their functional analysis.

Changes of postharvest quality in passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims) under modified atmosphere packaging conditions

The modified atmosphere packaging technique was explored in order to investigate the changes of passion fruit quality during low temperature storage. Three different types of packaging condition were used in this experiment. They were (i) P-UAP, a perforated low density polyethylene (LDPE), (ii) MAP-1, a LDPE with an oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of 1400016000 cm3/m2∙day∙atm, and (iii) MAP-2, ...

Differential expression of genes involved in the biosynthesis and perception of ethylene during ripening of passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims).

An increase in the enzyme activity of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) synthase and ACC oxidase induces the evolution of ethylene during the ripening of passion fruit. A much higher level of ethylene is produced in arils than in seeds or peels during ripening. The pattern of expression of two ACC synthase genes (PE-ACS1 and PE-ACS2), one ACC oxidase gene (PE-ACO1), and two ethylene r...

Histological analysis of pollen-pistil interactions in sour passion fruit plants (Passiflora edulis Sims).

The success of sexual plant reproduction is directly influenced by specific interactions between the pollen and pistil. Light, fluorescence and scanning electron microscopy techniques were used to evaluate the steps of pollination in sour passion fruit plants (Passiflora edulis Sims). In the compatible interaction, pollen tubes grow through stigma projections towards the ovary. The pollen grain...

Histochemical analysis of seed reserve mobilization in Passiflora edulis Sims fo. flavicarpa O. Deg. (yellow passion fruit) during germination.

In the present work, we analyzed the histochemical aspects of Passiflora edulis seeds reserve mobilization during the first ten days of germination. Our results showed that mainly lipids present in the endosperm are used as a reserve source, and their levels reduce at the same time the radicle protrudes, between the fourth and sixth day of sowing. Furthermore, protein bodies are present in the ...

Optimization of in vitro Propagation of Purple Passion Fruit (Passiflora edulis), an Important Medicinal and Ornamental Plant

Tissue culture techniques can be beneficial for quick clonal propagation and production of disease-free plants of purple passion fruit as one of the most important medicinal and ornamental plants. These techniques are essential tools for the production of transgenic plants and high-value phytochemicals. The present study was planned to introduce an efficient in vitro propagation for pu...
